What to expect
You are welcome here.
Whether you have been attending church for years or are visiting for the first time, we want you to know that you are welcome. Our worship is reverent, joyful, and centered on the glory of God. Each Lord's Day, we gather to meet with Him through His appointed means of grace—His Word, prayer, and the sacraments.
Order of worship
A historic pattern that proclaims the gospel each week.
- 01
Call to Worship
God always takes the initiative. Our service begins with His Word calling us into His presence. Together we respond with songs of praise, acknowledging that He alone is worthy of our worship.
- 02
Confession of Sin
Having drawn near to our holy God, we humbly confess our sins, acknowledging our need for His mercy. We come with confidence, knowing that our hope rests not in ourselves but in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
- 03
Assurance of Pardon
After confessing our sins, we hear God's gracious promise of forgiveness from His Word. This declaration reminds us that all who repent and trust in Christ are fully forgiven, clothed in His righteousness, and reconciled to God. We respond with gratitude and joyful praise for His amazing grace.
- 04
Consecration
God not only forgives His people—He also transforms them. Through the reading and preaching of Scripture, prayer, and the confession of our faith, the Holy Spirit renews our minds, strengthens our faith, and equips us to live as faithful disciples of Christ.
- 05
Congregational Prayer
As the family of God, we bring our praises, thanksgivings, and requests before our heavenly Father. We pray for the Church, our community, our nation, those in need, and the advance of Christ's kingdom throughout the world.
- 06
Expositional Preaching
The preaching of God's Word is central to our worship. We primarily preach through books of the Bible, explaining the meaning of each passage and applying it to every area of life. Our desire is not simply to hear inspiring thoughts, but to hear the voice of God speaking through His Word.
- 07
Communion
The Lord's Supper is celebrated quarterly as a covenant meal in which Christ strengthens the faith of His people. Those who have been baptized, profess faith in Jesus Christ, and trust Him alone for salvation are invited to partake.
- 08
Commission
Having been renewed by God's grace, we are sent back into the world with His blessing. We leave worship equipped to love God, serve our neighbors, make disciples, and bring every area of life under the lordship of King Jesus until we gather again on the next Lord's Day.
